if I could rate with minus 0 star that will be my rate because I always do my shopping on line due to convince however the moment I noticed that it's royal mail to be delivering it's always bad experience. they never check if the person is in. I work from home and I'm always inside my flat and my door bell is the old fashion which is very very loud that you can not miss it. today I've been waiting for my parcel for days and I have been watching the updates ie here it has reached. and taking my rubish out I saw a royal card left first me. each time they do this. the post man does not have time to wait. they do not even bother to ring the door bell. it's the worst delivery service yet it's been in existence for long. why can't you either close, sell the company or don't offer the service at all. as it's a shame to the country.

The delivery guy rang my flat (in a block of flats) but didn't arrive until 10mins later (taking a smoke break? who knows) then didn't knock on the door but I was listening out for my post and heard the letterbox flap as he posted a red missed you card, I raced out the door and called after him then hear him running faster down the stairs. Finally catch up with him and show him my card and that I'm actually indoors - next thing I know, he is up close against my face threatening me to back off and screaming in my face that he is not giving me my parcels? I rang customer services to tell them what happened and how shocked I am, phone charges are 55p a minute and they deliberately keep you on the line asking repeat questions, presumably to reap money from that. Finally escalated to complaints team who won't accept this happened and keep trying to call it an 'altercation with one of their staff' but this was a completely unprovoked verbal attack/physical intimidation and they won't admit this is not acceptable therefore cannot be rectified - presumably because they don't want to be open to getting sued. Offered me a pack of six 1st class stamps as compensation, I guess to be passive aggressive for bothering to waste their time with this complaint. Refused to provide name of the delivery person so that I can report this to the police.

They lost bumper to my car, Royal Mail customer service was not much helpfully. No compensation (how is possible lost so big item, when was returning to seller on ebay?). They lost 6 large letters in February and 1 in March with 3D printing surfaces. They need competition with letters. RM don't know with who they cooperative in Canada. Parcel signed to Norway is fully traceable on the way to... Canada. On chat with customer service they lie is not traceable and allow... additional 1 month! for delivery. Thief's from Royal Mail. They can't even delivery signed letter sending from south England to another part of England. If will be possible I be give 0 (ZERO) stars for Royal Mail. If will be possible (but is not) I be sending from Royal Mail competition ALL letters. Good service. If you're not in home, your parcel will be waiting for you not in your neighbour, but in Royal Mail sorting (missing) office. International Tracked (2 weeks later still no change) 29/03/17 16:55 SENT AT POST OFFICE THE END OF TRACKING DETAILS.

Staffed and managed by LIARS!!!! Delivered to the wrong address (tracking says delivered at the time I was home, but there was in fact no delivery). They signed for my package themselves!! I complaint and all I got was "the driver said he went to the correct address" (which is a complete LIE as I was home), "the package was signed for" (another LIE as I didn't sign for it, the driver signed it himself... look it up this is common practice for royal mail). the 'investigation' was another complete LIE as all they didn't do anything. Completely incompetent and morally bankrupt LIARS!!!!

I went through the process of setting up an online business account, the whole process was lengthy and laborious and there was no point person to guide me through it, one department did not have any idea what the other department was doing, I felt like I had no value as a customer whatsoever. In order to arrange daily collections I had to post hard copies of three months receipts (they don't take scans) so I did, via royal mail.... 10 working days later the package had still not arrived, my issue, not theirs apparently. Communication came via e mail from 'donotreply' e mail addresses, so I had no idea if my e mails were being received or not. This is an organisation that does not work properly, if I were the Queen I would not be happy to have it carrying my name.

we have a regular post man which is quite normal and nice, but nightmare started on one Saturday when Asian postman came to deliver our parcel and letter, I was in front room and i saw him coming, i heard him drooping some letters in our letter box and see him moving away very fast, i did not think much as i see often post mans are in hurry, then i went to pick the letter, i notice with the letters one notice saying we missed you and could not deliver the parcel etc. i was surprised to see that as postman did not bother to knock the door. i was in waste and short and it was very cold but i ran outside to see if i could catch him but him was already crossed the road and due to busy road he could not hear me shouting, i ran back indoor, 1st thing i can think of car keys, as if i was to change by then he would have gone, so i drove after him and eventually i managed to reach i gave him small beep and showed him the card he left, he started to walk toward me and start shouting " whats wrong with you why you don't answer the door?" I said to him you never knock the door, he said" i fucking pressed the bell" Now as i mentioned i was in the front room and i see him coming, there are 5 bells outside our door 2 belong to ground floor 3 to 1st floor, i wonder which bell he pressed and after pressing bell should he not wait a bit, No actually he did not bother to press the bell or knock the door, while i was replying to him that he should mind his language and he forwarded me signing device, i signed and he gave me the parcel, but he was continuously saying you people are careless i think your fucking bell don't work, by then i was well pissed by his attitude and i said to him mind your fucking language, as soon as i said that, he popped his head inside my car, i thought he wanted to hit me, but instead he grab the parcel and start to walk away saying now you fucking go and get your parcel from office, i could not believe what was happening, i just signed the parcel and he took it back i considered it theft, so i ran after him, when he see me running after him he started to scream hysterically, leave me alone dont touch me, he took the phone out and said i am calling tje police i am calling my manager, i just realise its getting very awkward and this man is some kind of psychopath, i try to tell him that your act of taking parcel back from my car can be considered as theft, but he was not listening and screaming so loud that every passerby will think that i am trying to rob him, i just give up and drove home, i called to royal mail customer service explaining the situation they said its Saturday they will ask local office to investigate, and then called 999 police, they said its not emergency and i should call 101 or contact local royal mail office, I went to local post office and explain the whole situation to manager, Manager said he is very disappointed by the post mans behaviour and he apologized to me and said by Monday he will arrange delivery of my parcel and mail via regular post man, Now its over one week still nothing is sorted on top of that royal mail suspended my mail. i am awaiting some serious mails including my sons college admission appointments, and loads of other urgent mail, Royal mail behavior stinks. i can write all day all night about stinking behavior of Royal mail but don't see point. this company used to be one of the best in the world but now only they employ Mullahs tick tick bang

Royal Mail Special Delivery Didn't deliver. I've used this once reliable service for many years suddenly a parcel valued at £450 goes missing. I tracked it and said we've received your parcel and will deliver on or before the required time. So waited in walked the dog came back and waited for the parcel to arrive,sorry no delivery,just tracked it and it's in the system and has been received and in the system etc etc. Tried to phone a human who was helpful but wasn't familiar with system and she said she thought the parcel was being delivered back to the sender!!!not sure why!!! I will have to reconsider how much I use this service in the future for irreplaceable items,they may be insured up to £500 included in the terms and conditions Wake up Royal Mail find my parcel!!! Why do you throw away such a once reliable service.

I sent an order for my business as two separate packages, tracked and signed for. The items in question were solid metal and yet Royal Mail still managed to break one. Royal Mail claim that because I do not have proof of purchase for when I originally bought the items they will not cover the cost of the broken item. Royal Mail told me to fill in a claims form and they took longer than the given time to respond to the claim and only responded when I rang up twice to tell me nothing would be done. Avoid this company, they give lots of answers with very little substance and as a small business owner I cannot afford to cover the mistakes of this company. Nothing good to say about them, disgusting service and if I could I would give them 0/5.

Got online to post a parcel , came to £2.80 but you have to make a prepayment minimum of 3.50!!!! Prepayments are in set amounts so at any one time you have money stashed with the Royal mail. A total scam they are in effect borrowing your money at nil interest- might not be much but multiply that by a million or so and it really does add up. What a bunch of tossers, much better to go with Hermes.

I sent an item from Birmingham to Brazil in July 2016, as it was a valuable item I purchased extra compensation and secure/tracked shipping. The item never arrived and after chasing it up I was informed it was sent back. The item was never returned to me and I filed for refund in September 2016. After many months and hundreds of emails to customer service, sending all the documentation and proof of the lost item and compensation purchase many times, Royal Mail told me they disposed of my item and would forward it to the claims department! I called customer service again many times, was finally directed to the resolution team, they told me they would send me a check to compensate me for my lost item and now, end of February 2017, 7 months after I sent the item I have nothing. More than 6 months of constant stress, terrible service, no compensation for lost item, Royal Mail owes me £250, I do not recommend this service EVER and never using Royal Mail again!

Most Disorganised Customer service Royal Mail for business is being a total frustration, when we were invited to use them the promised all the best advantages of using the company, Low Prices, best shipment here and there, and a superb customer service. Ok, that lasted real short, after 8 months the problems started and nobody to take responsibility, being problems: - Things were never delivered to the customer and left anywhere, notes were not left visible. - Prices increasing every once in a while even sending 300% more than at the beginning of the business they just don't care they just increase it. - The most frustrating "Claims Department" that never gets a single thing sorted, things lost internationally at the value of £80 they took almost 3 months to pay me £6 which I am still waiting for, quite ridiculous when you are promised you are going to be well treated when you are just ignored and they do whatever they like. My Frustration has no measure how much the company really made my business and my every day worse, we hope to have a better deal with DHL so Royal Mail won't benefit from a single penny from us anymore.

If I could give them 'zero' stars, I would! Still no response from chief executive Moya Greene personally, she just allocates new staff as soon as I receive a shoddy response, and to avoid fair questions asked to catch the thieves! I posted a special delivery, trackable, item July last year, and, have not been given any response to my fair questions, nor offered ANY compensation, despite this supposedly being company policy! No parcel found and returned back to me as requested, no repayment for the financial loss of it, as yet. I have sent all receipts and no response. Another guy, on another incident on the internet, involving headphones sent and accused of not sending, was taken in for questioning and court case dropped. This was a perfect opportunity for the courts to request detailed accounts from royal mail, the perpetrators! I wonder why that did not occur? James Eadie of royal mail stated ' He should of sent it Special delivery! Haha I did and it still DID NOT GET DELIVERED TO WHERE ROYAL MAIL STATED! If royal mail state to me they delivered it to a certain address, why are they themselves not prepared to report this fact to the police, I wonder hey...!? I asked them to knock the door and get it back to me, also refused. Who thinks this smells fishy on behalf of royal mail? After all, we don't get bought houses by our employers in the uk, I read online Moya Greene did... Along with a huge salary of hundreds of thousands a year... Extremely odd when I fail to see ANY responses from her personally, agree...? Where is the value of my stolen items and compensation owed please? Even better, a trackable item, tracked!!!??? Would this fall under trading standards remit of false advertising possibly? DO NOT TRUST ROYAL MAIL TRACKABLE OR SPECIAL DELIVERY! I'd advise a smaller courier company, ONE THAT DOES NOT EMPLOY THIEVES, ONE THAT DOESN'T COVER UP FOR THIEVES, AND ONE THAT CARES :)

Disgusting service. Despite perfect opportunities to catch thieves, they constantly decline to bother, and, over the space of 3years! They in fact cover up for their thieving bunch of shitbags! Who is in charge of royal mail please, anyone know!??

Sent a pair of jeans worth £150 first class recorded delivery. Never got there. I made a claim, I received a book of first class stamps as a refund. Disgusting service. Use my Hermes at least you get a full refund.

4 out of the last 5 items ordered online for delivery by royal mail have never arrived. I no longer purchase anything online that use royal mail. How did this once great service turn so bad so quickly?

Well im abouslty disgusted in royal mail today both my nanna and grandpa work for this company all there working lives and i always thought high of the company but today my opinion has changed when i received a Christmas card from my aunty and uncle that had been opened just enough to get money or cheque out which im waiting to find out if there was anything inside but even if there wasnt im so angry at the fact someone from royal mail still tried to look. i wonder just how many others theyve just had a look to see what they can get the hands on. Im abouslty disgusted in this i just hope there wasn't something inside luckily my aunty tends to post cheques so she will be able to cancel it but if its cash then shes lost it all down to hands of someone whos supposed to be trusted employe for royal mail

Small Royal mail branches have the worst customer service and they overcharge for anon passport forms but at the end he is giving bad advice on how to fill up a form and is y parcel. Do they have a person in charge of controlling this issue? Totteridge post office has a grumpy old guy who thinks is an expert on filling up forms but at the end he end up confusing himself and using a very rude tone when explaining how to do the forms.
