Ordered a top of the range roomba. Delivery was delayed by two days whilst they tried to contact me by phone to pressure me into paying for an extended warranty (which i had already turned down at point of purchase). When it did arrive, they had sent a far inferior model, nearly £200 cheaper. Tried getting through to customer services, kept on hold for ages, then when I explained the problem, they put me on hold for another 15 mins, then the line went dead. Rang back and been on hold for another 30 mins. Wish I'd done my research before buying from these con artists.

Absolute shocking company.DO NOT purchase from this company. We ordered & paid for a cooker hood on the 07-11-15 . It is now the 08-01-16 & still we have no delivery or installation date. Ruined our xmas. First delivery date the driver went sick,2nd delivery date I took the day off & no one turned up . It took me over 5 days of constant messaging & phone calls to find out that the applience was damaged at the delivery warehouse. The WORST customer service I have experienced. Still nobody returns my messages. They do not care about the customer SHOCKING.

Pathetic company and absolutely rude customer service. Ordered a dehumidifier on a standard delivery (which costs ~£5). Received an instant email confirmation but '7 days' later the order tracking showed no trace of the order. The customer service staff lied every time I called to check the order status stating that the item is ready for dispatch and will be delivered the next day. After 3 attempts, I gave up and cancelled the order. No apologies whatsoever. Which? should be thoroughly ashamed of their membership association with this useless company.

Ordered a dehumidifier for next day delivery. Received email to say item had been dispatched and due for delivery next day as agreed. Tracking of parcel was useless. DX couriers didn't even have the parcel 2 days after it should have been delivered to me ! Am trying to cancel and get a refund but after reading reviews here I may be in for a fight ?! Have researched my rights and am ready for them to try and tell me rubbish.

The customer service was absolutely appalling. Waited 17 days for a washer dryer that I'd paid £30 to have delivered within 2 days and it still didn't turn up.

Absolutely useless. After receiving numerous texts changing delivery time from 4.45 to then 9.15 we cancelled our plans to go out only to then receive a call at 8 pm to say the fridge wasn't going to be delivered that evening! Very unhelpful customer service. 2nd time we have been let down by this company. Will never use again.

I paid for a dehumidifier, paid extra to state day of delivery-took Thursday off work, delivery did not turn up(not the fault of the company I understand that),delivery still did not turn up on the Friday, saturday or sunday,AD stated that address was incomplete, very weird when the full address was on the invoice they sent!!I cancelled order, demanded a refund and they said I had to fill in a Returns form for an item that was not even delivered.I have had numerous communications with AD,Emessages and phone calls and they have refused to refund us until their crappy DX shipping company deliver the undelivered item BACK to them.It is now almost 2 weeks since they took my money and they still won't pay it back.DO NOT EVER USE THEM!!! We are being held to ransom due to their shoddy shipping company and crappy customer service!!!!!!!!!!

Very very unhappy with 7 day policy which is useless ! We've build and replacing our kitchen along the way we ran in not one problem but hand full . We informed the delivery driver of this and signed for items unseen. And we were told it was a 90 day policy. Which we now know this is not the case. After we changes meant we couldn't put both fridge freezers in. We got touch to return scecond , well exchange with extra £100 on other items we which to purchase. And was told we can not its only 7 days policy . As work in retail 7 days is ridiculous.

I ordered a Smeg free standing cooker on 20th November and was happy to get a confirmation back that the delivery, installation and diposal of the old cooker would be done on 27th November. However, once i had left work and been at home waiting for the delivery, I received a call from KnowHow (Appliances Direct subcontractor for the work) because they weren't going to be able to deliver to the agreed date. Delivery 1 - Failed. It was then back out for delivery on the following Monday. I quickly made arrangements at work to be away for the morning, the cooker was delivered but after the box was removed the delivery guys from Knowhow pointed out some obvious damage to the storage compartment door. They notified they manager who instructed them to return the cooker to the manufacturer. Delivery 2 - Failed. During the following days, after i found out that this was the only cooker left in stock, i negotiated some compensation with Appliances Direct and had a revised delivery date of Friday 4th December but Knowhow then refused to carry out the installation of a damaged cooker. So i quickly found a local engineer and asked him to carry out the work for me on that Friday. On the day (more time away from work!) the delivery van turned up but without a cooker on board!!! This was a different set of delivery guys from Knowhow and couldn't give me a reason for this apart from 'the warehouse team must have got it wrong'. Delivery 3 - Failed. I was back on the phone to both Applicances Direct and to Knowhow over the next few days until someone actually found the cooker. Rather than the phone call with an apology, i received a text message from Knowhow to say they next delivery date will be Friday 11th December. In light of now having to take more time off work for delivery number 4, i had to discuss more compensation with Applicances Direct. The delivery van actually came with a cooker this time but didn't give me any warning so my engineer had to rush over to complete the installation for me. When it was taken out of the van, the cooker was wrapped in cling film and bubble wrap instead of boxed up as it was originally. After removing the numerous layers, we found more damaged panels, took photos of the lot and finally got it working. Delivery 4 - Success. In summary, cheap prices but no service. I only stuck with the order with Appliances Direct because this cooker was the only one which would fit the gap in my kitchen. I wouldn't recommend to anyone. Please avoid this company.

Placed an order for a new cooker, selected my delivery date, then got an email saying the delivery date could not be met, the supplier then called me and arranged another date (a week later) waited home all day for it, NO SHOW still no cooker. Called the sales team to cancel the order and order something they do actually have in stock, NOPE i cant do that for you your need to call back on Monday at this rate we will be eating a microwave Christmas dinner!

Delivery had been arranged for Wednesday and only at the night they contact me to let me know it will 'commence' tomorrow (Thursday). No apology for wasting my time, letting me down, not keeping to their side of the contract etc etc. Failed to deliver on Thursday also. Called the shambles of a delivery company called DX Couriers and paid extra for a third delivery attempt Friday between 9am-1pm. Got email at 1pm to say wont be delivering! Have since spent time on phone at 13p minute for phone to go dead after 15 minutes on 2 occasions. No-one has agreed to refund the money they took out of account over 2 weeks ago. I emailed to cancel and request a refund but no-one has confirmed. I did get an email today telling me contact the delivery company to re-arrange delivery. They must be mad or stupid (likely both). Money-claims online for me tonight/tomorrow and let the small claim court decide what they should compensate me. They can also explain their blatant lies to the court. This is an exceptionally poor company to deal with with an equally poor courier service. No way of getting hold of anyone either if something goes wrong.. Have since been getting emails from Debenhams Plus so clearly they are mixed up with this shambles of a company. Trust me, pay a little bit more if it means you stay sane. They are not cheaper in any case, I just assumed (wrongly) they would be good. Rubbish company....avoid like the plague! Read the reviews on service and delivery, We all can't be wrong.

Dreadful company. I paid to have a washing machine connected and the old one taken away. But the day the delivery men arrived I found my stop cock had broken, I asked them to just drop the washing machine off which they did, but Appliances Direct only refunded me "Half the cost of connection/recycling, as a gesture of goodwill!!" The delivery men just dumped the new one in the garage (as requested by me). Disgusting, I wont use them again. In addition, I ordered it from them as they offered Next Day Delivery, but after I paid and went to select a delivery day, the next day wasnt available!! I had to wait 4 days. What they meant was "the next available delivery day for them", not next day.

Attempted to buy a tv through this company's website on finance and even though it states we will not take the deposit until a decision on the finance is reached, yep you guessed it, they took the deposit before any decision was reached. Finance was declined and £62 down for my troubles. Rang this so called company and spoke to someone who obviously didn't have a clue, who tried to tell me no money had been taken but then promptly did a massive u-turn and said money would be refunded in 48hrs. 48hrs has passed and guess what??? No refund. This is an ongoing saga, and fraud I'm sure. Avoid like the plague!

This company is a shambles! They deliver damaged goods and then to arrange replacement it costs a fortune in phone bills and hours of time to get to the right department. They fob you off with politely and you think things will be rectified and it never happens. More phone calls, time and expense. Don't even think about emailing them, you'll never get a reply even though they "aim to get back to you within two hours". What a joke! Several emails over three months were never answered. Avoid like the plague. Pay a few pounds more to get decent and basic customer service and quality goods from another company.

Customer service, a joke, customer couldn't give a damn service. Got a problem ring Bryn, totally useless individual who will escalate your complaint, yeah, straight into his waste bin. E-mail Liam, just the same response, useless. In the eyes or their CEO, they are doing a good job at fobbing off customer complaints, but have no respect for customers whatsoever. Lesson learnt, will never ever buy from this company again.

Brought a Dishwasher on line, when it arrived it had a fault, they refused to take this back without a manafactures fault number, which takes over a week to get and required a service engineer visit, when I talked to there Customer Service (i use the term lightly), they refused to help at all (despite the no quibble returns policy) . Go to AO.com there you get excellent service. I will never use Appliance Direct again.

Today I went into Huddersfied store to buy a larder fridge. I was approached and told the sales asst I knew what I was looking for and had dimensions just wanted to be left to look. Within seconds a man stood watching us for several minutes, then he came back and asked us what we were looking for. I told him the same, 30 seconds later a third man came over, and I told him I was fed up of being harrassed and left the store. We bought a £400 one from a competitor who allowed us to look on our own. I get it, they are on commission, however let the customer actually look at the products! I do not get followed around Boots when looking for gift ideas, or by sales assistants when looking for clothes, or when buying my weekly food bill. I had dimensions, I had a tape measure, I do not need anybody asking me what I am looking for - WHY?? I need to see it and imagine it in my kitchen (something a good sales assistant should learn early on) YOU only need to get involved if I ask you a question. Yes approach me initially but 4 times by three different people in three minutes?
