As a month-long driver for DD I can tell you first that I spend more time waiting for food in the restaurants than I do on the road. Case in point, walked into a restaurant today and they waited on all of the customers in line before they even considered my ticket, technically once I walk in for a delivery, I'm in line, but alas they made me wait even as new customers walked in. This is more the rule than the exception, believe me. Second, as soon as I identify as a DD delivery the attitude is immediately apparent and any effort from then on to hasten the order, even if the restaurant is slow, doesnt happen; in fact, I get the sense they purposely delay it further. I assume because there are so many deliveries and because we dont tip the person bagging up the food. We cant, the menial cut of the fee that we get for driving to the restaurant, waiting for the food, then driving to the customer, and rarely getting tipped, means we most likely get paid less than the person bagging the food. That doesn't even take into account the gas, tires, milage, and over all wear and tear on our personal vehicles, and 1099 taxes . With DD we have to sign up for shifts which they call "dashes." We are instructed to post up at a given "hot spot" ie. mall parking lot. When there are no orders to deliver we sit in the car, sometimes for over an hour, unpaid for that time. Your really want to know why the food takes so long, sign up to drive and after one day you'll know. Most drivers do their best to make the customer happy because we need the tips to hopefully make a little money. For me, I'm so glad the recent government shut-down is resolved so I can get back to my day job and for now, dump this ridiculous "side-hussle"I feel really badly for those that have to do this full-time.

Door dash called to see if I had received my food. I don't think she understands how to serve customers. My food was delivered to the wrong address, and was 25 minutes late. My delivery address is on my account. Now how it got delivered somewhere else, I don't know but was no fault of my own. I wasn't asking for anything, not a refund or a credit. But the customer service rep that followed up, on every chance, blamed me for the food going to the wrong place and refused to simply take responsibility. I am looking for alternative delivery options. Plus, I don't know if 5.99 for delivery is fair for going 3 1/2 miles.

The restaurant substituted an item that for me was inedible and had to be thrown away. DoorDash offered a credit for only half the charge of the item I ordered.

I enjoy the convenience of using a food delivery service like doordash. However, every single promotional offer that they have emailed to me has failed when I tried to use it to save on delivery fees. Also people using their service should watch out for the additional fees that are lumped in with tax. In my area, those fees are approximately 10% of the total cost of the food. Doordash customer service used to call me if I reported a missing item or a problem with my food. They no longer do so. I have to go through a complicated process to find out how to email them the feedback that I am missing an item. They do credit my card to compensate me for the missing item. I have read several reviews saying that others have had much worse experiences than I have had. I hope that there is a company that can master this process of food delivery!

Fast and friendly. We have used Doordash, twice and they have delivered the order with items missing. Not too convenient if you don't get what you paid for.

Order never arrived. Received a text saying my dasher (Garrett) couldn’t find my house. So I attempted to call the number they texted me... well well his number has been disconnected. I tried 3 times and sent a text.. no response. The. I got a text from door dash they my order had been delivered... that never happened. Guess Garrett had a good meal tonight. So I got on the app and had a live chat session with door dash.. they were great.. I got a refund but not sure I will ever use them again.

Ordered this evening at a restaurant that took an hour and on top of it the driver Marden was not very nice!

This is probably the 5th time we have had a driver that didn't have his license. This may not be a problem for you. (Which is unprofessional and illegal) but its a problem for our location. You have to have your license to get through our community gate. We shouldn't have to drive all the way to the front gate to get our food. What's the point of having it "delivered"?

I ordered from La Hacienda Mexican restaurant and the food was so salty I could not eat it. $15.00 down the drain.

The driver did not deliver the order at the requested time and marked that the status as delivered. I never received any calls or messages about delivery issues. It took over 30 minutes to get a respresentative by phone and 15 minutes by text. Once driver was reached, she was rude and upset that she had to come back and deliver the order. It turns out that the driver did not have a full contact name and number. This was my very first experience with Doordash, I am not sure if I will try again.

Im a DoorDash driver. Im reading about mandatory tips from customers? Who gets those? Not me! I constantly am offered dashes 30 miles away and i know customers r waiting and waiting for their food. I consider myself conscientious and courteous but how can a driver get a good review let alone a tip when customers have to wait over an hr for their order? I feel stuck between a rock and a hard place and theres nowhere on the app for me to give DD feedback.

Food took much too long to arrive. Everything that was supposed to be hot was cold and everything supposed to be cold was hot. Very disappointed. Seems i will have to use another delivery service.

Literally ordered from Chic Fila on a monday afternoon I live In Levittown Pa. Ordered 2 large fries and 8 nuggets and my fiance got a chicken sandwich. First time user, order comes on time and the bag is open ( has tape on the bag holding it together). Our drivers name was Jamie C I believe that was the last initial. There were only 7 nuggets and our fries wernt even filled up all the way. There were no bag fries and all food was cold. It was so obvious that the driver has eaten my missing nugget and skimped fries. Literally tipped her over 20% so annoyed. Never, never again👎

Not sure whose fault this was but received a pizza with small plastic pieces on the bottom.. very tiny but bit into a couple of pieces.. This pizza was from Saggios in Albuquerque..

Haven’t had DoorDash in months haven’t been charged then outta nowhere they wanna charge me for it 5 months after it’s been canceled when I call to ask why they tell me it don’t show on their end and they didn’t charge me smh making me jump through hoops just to get my money back DoorDash is legit a JOKE and I don’t recommend it

To note: I have used doordash twice before this event and have been happy with them in the past (which is why I'm giving them a 2-star instead of 1). However, I am very unhappy about the service today. I ordered my meal and 2 hours later it was still not delivered. The delivery was an hour late by the time we spoke to anyone (outsourced for sure) with the Doordash online customer service. While the guy was obviously going by a script, he was not very helpful. He eventually got ahold of the dasher who was "just getting to the restaurant now to pick up the food."....and hour after it was supposed to be in my physical hands. They offered no solution until I asked for a refund. It was given and my order cancelled. No further communication was made and no apology. I do not believe that they have good customer service and am disappointed with how they handled my situation.

The apps crashes frequently MID DELIVERY. It will show dark red (meaning alot of deliveries ro be made)and i STILL WONT get orders!! No matter how many times i turn my phone off & restart the app i will not get an order for hours. Doordash has done nothong about it. Waste of time

First order went well. Ordered a second time and real-time gps of driver showed he was in one place for nearly 25 minutes. Called support and they said driver's car was down (this was 20 minutes after my order was supposed to arrive) No one called me to let me know there would be a delay. No compensation offered, only a refund - which I gladly accepted. Going to stick with SkipTheDishes.

The orders are delivered in a timely manner and the delivery people are all very friendly, but the orders always have something wrong. I remember once out of the many times I've ordered from them that the order was exactly right. I leave so many details and tell them to cancel the entire order if they can't fulfill it, but they refuse to listen and bring me the wrong stuff anyway. Today, I asked for iced tea from Starbucks. Put it in big capital letters that I was order iced tea, but they sent it hot. I asked for the heavy cream to be put in the coffee, it was in a cup on the side. The other day I order a lettuce wrapped burger from Wendy's. Do you think it came lettuce wrapped? Of course not! It came with a bun and no lettuce. It's kind of ridiculous. You're running a business and taking people's money for a service, try paying attention and respecting what the customer wants.

disappointed cause a special was advertised by DoorDash that was no longer valid. Restaurant had a special that expired on Sunday and was still up on Wednesday night. Placed order money exchanged hands and was quickly refunded. DoorDash responded that the restaurant was no longer taking orders but they were they just weren’t offering that special. Wish the cancellation was more clear as to why it was canceled. Also have had a dasher show up in the past and their 10 year old made the delivery.
