Digusting service. They cancel my insurance with out notifying me on Christmas day!. The only way I find out is by police officer stoping me to tell me that there is no insurance on the car. And I get sent an email after I checked at 3am on Christmas day that my insurance has been cancled. I would not recemond this company to anybody. They have been nothing but problems And bad customer service. You rather pay more premium than have this happening to you. If only there's was one worse than very poor on here I rather rate them to be digusting and useless.

I was with the cooperative insurance a few years ago, had a change but decided to come back as it is a very good, reasonably priced insurance.

Awful customer service, bought home insurance with promise of a free karcher window vac. Upon chasing up the window vac was told that a voucher was sent via email but no mention made of this when busting the policy. Basically told tough luck for not claiming the karcher, be very careful as their offers are well written so that you do not get the free gift. They wouldn't tell me how many vouchers were unredeemed, not trying to hide anything?

Fortunately have not needed to claim, but initial experiences were excellent and pricing was extremely competitive. Looking forward to renewing.

Having been insured with the Co-operative car insurance for many years, (always checking each year their premiums are competitive) I unfortunately had to make my first claim recently after discovering I had been hit by a road digger, whilst passing some road works. I only discovered the damage the following morning and as it was too late to go back to the works I had to accept it was impossible to claim off them. I contacted the Co-op and they couldn't have been more helpful. After giving them all the details, over the phone, they arranged for my car to go to a garage of their choice where my car was repaired perfectly. I was dreading receiving a large increase to my new yearly premium, but on receiving it this morning, found, thankfully, this was not the case. (I include no claims protection with my policy). An excellent and most proficient insurance company to deal with. Highly recommended for their excellent customer care.

This insurance was a lot cheaper than the company I had been with for years. The call to the CoOp was X trembly helpful and informative and in a few minutes everything had been done and. dusted!, Lets see how the next renewal goes but I would certainly use Go Compare again.

An absolute disgrace! I've had my car insurance policy with them for 9 years. Each year they increase my policy and then I have to speak to their retention team. I received my last renewal from Co-operative surprise, surprise it's gone up again, Double the price of other highly repritable insurers. I have now been advised they no longer have a retention team but a loyalty team of a few members of staff who also deal with quotes and service. I was spoken to in a poor manner and tone and sent from one department to another. The Executive Customer Service team member I was in contact with didn't seem to care less if I stayed with them or not and I was able to get a cover £198 cheaper than Co-operative was offering me and I received Protected No Claims, A U.K. Breakdown service including getting me home and a Guarenteed courtesy car, none of which Co-op included in their quote! My complaint is now being investigated by the ombudsman Service. Loyalty means nothing to Co-operative insurance!

No complaints on the insurance or service but be aware that the Co Op charge a £50 cancellation fee. Many other insurers are free to cancel.

I had tu claim for a burgulary that occurred at my propper in sept 2015 they wouldn't let me claim for my daughters belongings that had been stolen from my property they said because she didn't live with me anymore that she'd av tu claim off her insurance for her stuff knowing very well her stuff was taken from my property wen the burgulary happened in my opinion I think this was out of order my daughters lost her stuff because she has no ins of her own I do think that if anything has been stolen from ur property whether ur daughter lives with u or not u should stil be covered after all it has been stolen from ur property an not hers I was very disappointed with co op my father in laws been with them 45yrs an he's even disappointed as well with them it has made us think whether they would stick tu Wat they say in ur agreements wen u take it out with them or whether they'd come up with other excuses tu try tu get out of that one in my eyes I don't trust them anymore an we have now moved away from them so all I say is beware Wat they promise but don't come up with

I am extremely dissatisfied with the coop car insurance entity. They use an intermediary once you have bought the policy which means that if you make changes or cancel the policy they will not discuss issues with you and you have go through an endless loop of phone system to register a complaint. Furthermore the cancellation policy is punitive if you change a vehicle and they are not competitive on a new rate. Insurers should not be allowed to punish customers for changing vehicles during a policy period in this fashion. They should either price match competitors or cancel the policy for the same charge as the policy change fee. I would not recommend using this company as when i wished to speak to someone about this they wanted to pass me off to an intermediary without any responsibility. The insurance is marketed under the cooperative group. ASSUME RESPONSIBILITY!

Be very very careful with co op insurance if you have an accident they will find a loop hole to not pay you any money at all, they will firstly send out a claims investigator to investigate ur accident the job of the investigator is to cross examine you and find a loop hole not to pay you. Co op will happily take your money to insure you they sound very nice over the phone to take you onboard but from the moment you have an accident they will file your case with hill Dickinson solicitors then send out an insurance investigator, lucky enough if you get paid out for your claim they will then try to cancel your policy making up faulse reasons. Once they decline you insurance it will be difficult for you to obtain cheaper insurance with other good companies in the near future. Don't fall for there niceness on the phones be aware.

i paid in full for the year, sent in my no claims bonus from previous insurer, received an email acknowledging receipt. 4 days later received a letter says my policy had been cancelled(2 day earlier) due to no claims not being received. i then had to take out completely new policy was charged again and told the refund for original policy would take 7 days!!!!!!!! I did in the end get it in 2 days after arguing i was not happy at paying twice for the same policy. TODAY ANOTHER £374 HAS BEEN TAKEN FROM MY ACCOUNT. NEVER WOULD RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. I AM IN THE PROCESS OF GETTING A NEW INSURER, CANCELLING MY POLICY TONIGHT

Shockng customer service from this company, i will never go with then again and i will never recommend this company either.waiting on telephone on hold 1 day for 40 mins then when i did get through couldnt help me , i asked for a manager and was told by an arrogant girl that a manager wlll tell me the same as she did, after waiting another 10 mins was advised i couldnt speak to a manager, so by this point i was fuming .. ???? Was emailed saying that they were going to cancel my insurance that they had not recieved the document ( counterpart liceince ) which i did upload to them and they said have not recieved it. So i did it again and also sent them attatched to an email also, called back the following day and surprisingly was on hold for 1 hour before i gave up, then tried again and was on hold again for half an hour .. By this time i had to go to work. I am on phone again trying to get through and have been on hold so far for 25 mins????????????????????????????. This is not acceptable service at all especially when being charged for the call.. And they wonder why they get fraustrated and irrate customers, maybe if they showed a little respect and employed more agents then the hold wouldn't be so long. Ridiculous service bunch of numptys, and if i hear in my ear again we apologise all our advisors are busy im going to scream????

I have just moved house and this obviously entails notifying many different organisations of a change of address. I have done most of these on line including my co-op car insurance. This was the only company to charge me an ' admin fee' of £20. Where is the admin? I did all of it on line ! I will not be renewing my insurance with this company
