I ordered Nas box & 2 Nas hard disks with rpxress delivery. The box arrived on time . The hard drives had a delay of one day and due to laptops direct settings , I was not able to change the delivery address. Still after 10 days the hard disks are not delivered. I called help desk and the main answer was I cant help you ,I can't help you. They suggested to refuse delivery when the driver deliver the parcel. But I can't even do that because still DHL has not deliver it. The result is I had a system sitting idle for more than 10 days and Laptop directs answer is I can't help you. I am not going to buy anything else from this site.

Ordered a refurbished laptop (27th August) that was stated as having the highest refurbished grade, A1. I had the laptop for a total of a day and a half before it crashed and wouldn't turn back on; obviously a driver problem. Spoke to customer services and they told me I had to return it to them. Did that, the same day, they received it two days later. After waiting a week, I was emailed several times first saying they were sending a replacement out and then stating they didn't have another and that I'd be contacted within 2 days (not two WORKING days, just two days). On the fourth day I finally received an email with a number I had to call because apparently they'd been trying to contact me unsuccessfully (despite my phone having no missed calls). I spent an hour trying to reach anyone using the number and when I did get through, the man on the other end was completely unsympathetic, didn't once apologise for any inconvenience and wasn't interested in what I had to say at all. I asked for a full refund and was told it would be with me in 3-5 working days. Will never order anything from them again, the customer service lines were expensive and hold times were ridiculous. 1/5 stars only because I got my money back eventually. Edit: 25/09/2019 - Had to ring customer services YET AGAIN, because I received an email saying another replacement request had been put in and I'd be hearing from the sales team in another two days. Rang up, the guy on the other end of the phone said that the sales team had put in another request and he 'didn't know why they'd done that'. I do, it's because they're clearly incompetent at their jobs. After I doubled checked that it was definitely cancelled and I was still getting my refund, I was quickly dismissed with a quick 'thanks, bye now'. Utter JOKE.

would never buy a refurbished pc from them again. 1st was faulty and replaced within two weeks of original purchase. So paid the extra for a years warranty on 2nd. Again faulty within 5 months. Paid someone who independently diagnosed a faulty hard drive but company would not accept. Lots of stress and upset and about a month later they still would not issue a refund only a replacement or another model. Even though I was told I was in my right for a full refund under consumer law they would not listen. Resulted in having to buy another pc (which cost more) but Is new rather than refurbished so hopefully it has no problems. I would never buy from this company again!!!!!!

I have sent my laptop for trade in . Tracked down the parcel and it has been delivered to laptopsdirect 9 days ago. They do mention on their website that they will sent an email once they will receive the item, and you will have a quotation very soon. I called them two days after they receved the parcel just to be told that they might have the laptop but is not registered in warehouse, called them again next day to be told that they have up to 28 days to get in touch with you, but I will get a resolution next day !!! Called them again after few days to be told that they made a note on my account and i will receive an email next day No email received until now !!! Their customer service is appalling and what is advertised on their website is false advertising .be aware of this before having any business with them !

Ordered a Microsoft pro it arrived and was overheating as we set it up. Rang to complain we had to return it and couldn’t revive a immediate refund for faulty goods. Will be over a week to see if we get what we paid for. Cost 10 pound to complain as it’s a premium rate number.

Advertised prices not honoured Having ordered two disk drives from LaptopsDirect based on my previous experience of the company which was entirely acceptable, they waited 12 days and on the day before the drives were supposed to be delivered to inform me that they were having problems with obtaining stock of one the drives! Looking at their web site I can see that they are still advertising the exact same drive as in stock albeit at a higher price and speaking to their sales team the issue is NOT that they can't source the drive but that the supplier they were intending to use to source the drive now does not have stock. So rather than honour the price of the original order which they have taken money for already, they claim not to have stock so that you the customer can pay them more money for the same drive. As far as a customer is concerned their contract is with LaptopsDirect as the supplier and any sourcing "difficulties" with individual suppliers that they may be experiencing should be transparent to the customer especially on price when they are able to source the items. I will have to think twice about using LaptopsDirect again in the future and look instead to doing my business with companies who honour the prices advertised when accepting my order and taking my money or use etailers who do not take money until the item is ready for dispatch!

This is the first bad review I've left on this type of website - however I feel compelled to recommend against this company. Ordered a laptop on 24th July. Was very pleased with the specification for the price. Laptop was showing as 'in stock' on website and available for delivery within 24 hours. I chose to go for free delivery which it said could take "up to 7 days". Couple of days later, received an email saying delivery on 31st July (which would have been great). However, then got an email the day before saying that delivery was delayed due to circumstances out of control (due to courier changing their schedule in my area). Ok no big deal. Postponed to 2nd August. By midday on 1st I'd heard nothing and was keen to work out what was happening so I could arrange for someone to be home to take delivery. Emailed laptopsdirect after not being able to get through by phone (after waiting 30 minutes). Got a reply that delivery would now be delayed until week after, as they were now only getting stock in on the 2nd. No apology and they explained that this date was in line with their commitment to get it to me by 9th August. No idea where this date came from; my order details screen from their website said clearly "within 7 days". Accordingly, I responded requesting a coherent explanation as to what was actually going on. Then received an email saying product "no longer available". I called to sort next steps, as no one was in touch with me, and the laptops being offered as replacement were not a patch on what I'd originally ordered. Asked what complaints procedure was and was told "there isn't really one". Order was cancelled and I was transferred to customer services to explain my concerns. After 5 mins on hold I thought I'd explain on here instead. Hoping my refund comes through promptly as cannot see this company being around much longer. Item is still showing 'in stock' for delivery within 24 hours on the website...

Wouldnt recommend. Had an awful service and delivery from them. Paid for delivery on a specific day and they failed to send it. Noone contacted me to advise of a problem. Numerous calls and they wouldnt declare why it was never delivered then rearranged twice and on both those occassions never arrived.

High spec and high value gaming monitor. Apparently dead pixels are no big deal on high spec gaming monitors 😪 This coupled with their standard jntial response which isn't compliant with CPA 2015 (they will seek to pass you onto the manufacturer. It is their duty under CPA to take responsibility. We are now heading to Trading Standards.

How this company can still be trading… How this company can still be trading is beyond me. I ordered an in stock laptop for next day delivery and even got an email saying it was out for delivery. 4 days later no laptop. Called them to cancel order, they said OK I would get refund in 3-5 working days. 8 working days, no refund. Called again and was told a error was made by them and they had to wait for the laptop to be returned so they could check it was in good order before issuing refund....I hadn't recieved any laptop! AAAAGH! Now they say could be up to 28 days before I get refund. Have raised dispute with credit card company. Avoid them like the plague.

Absolutely shocking customer service. They took £115 from my account for no reason and now I’m having to raise a dispute with my bank to get it back. Laptops direct are not interested in returning my money and are just telling me to retrieve it through my bank. Don’t give them your credit card or bank details as they will rip you off. Scam company!

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. They may be cheap but as soon as you have an issue, game over... Ordered a new CPU and it came in a plastic envelope. The item was crushed badly in transit and was as flat as a pancake. As I didn't want to risk putting a damaged item in my expensive motherboard I asked for a return. They have said that this needs to be done at my cost. This is ludicrous as THEY have failed to package item correctly!!!!!!!

Horrible, slimey company with no regard for consumer rights and who use underhand tactics to try and evade their responsibility as a retailer. I tried to return a laptop within my legal 14-day cooling off period only to be told that all they could offer was a swap or store credit. After I quoted my consumer rights to them they started ignoring my emails. I ended up having to get my credit card company and the citizens advice bureau invovled. After numerous phone calls, emails and a signed letter in the post they eventually backed down and gave me a full refund. Disgusting that I had to spend 5 days arguing for them to do the right thing. AVOID!

Can’t wait to sell you something and are all smiles - but if something goes wrong they are just not interested. The after sales is shocking. I would not recommend.

Ordered a laptop for collection on 05/04, bought their "essential service" add on and was given a collection date of 10/04. Collection date came and went without confirmation it was ready so I rang to be told they had a problem moving the laptop to the location required to carry out the service but that they would have it ready on 18/04. Collection date came and went again with no communication and when I rang up I was told my laptop had arrived the night before (25/04), and that they were sorry I hadn't been notified. I travelled to collect the laptop and was told mine was not ready and that it was still at the servicing centre. I rang to complain and was told a manager would ring me back on Monday, which they did. In the meantime I found I could now get the laptop cheaper elsewhere so cancelled.

unhappy with delivery company - several attempts made - I had already indicated I was at work, couldn't get through to a human to speak to - investigate alternative options, had to take an afternoon of work to get home for the 4th attempt - this made me very stressed. the premium rate phone-number for laptops direct is outrageous took me ages to get through I got cut off, had to re-dial, spent a long time on the phone, my phone bill will be huge, I thought premium rate numbers had been banned? so much hassle getting hold of anybody to speak to and actually getting hold of my product, I wouldn't use this company again, I also emailed over this on feedback form, nobody has got back to me - very dissatisfied customer.

Unfortunately this company operates in a criminal way, cancelling my warranty contract for a reason not given in the terms and conditions (a slight scratch on the surface of my phone screen, which is not covered by the warranty but should not cancel the warranty when the phone had another fault that is potentially covered by the warranty). The worst part: they are rude and hostile, phoning me up, telling me I knew what I was doing, but unable to point to anywhere in the T&C that justifies their behaviour. Completely unable to listen to me or respond in a professional or legal way, despite multiple e-mails. I am taking the matter up with trading standards as I don't want others to be cheated by them... They cannot just cancel contracts for reasons not agreed in their T&C. I would strong advise avoiding buying anything from them, as they cannot be trusted.
