purchased lg 38 inch monitor and paid… purchased lg 38 inch monitor and paid for next day delivery , item did not arrive next day so i had to call them and they apologies and assured me i would get next day , so next day it did not turn up so i canceled my order which i got told would not take long to do .. as i had lost faith in there promises and decided to buy elsewhere ( ebuyer and got next morning ) then next day after canceling it turned up at my door so refused delivery , it took over 2 weeks to get my money back which luckely i used paypal to get it back through a claim or probably still waiting .. i had to phone them twice which they have a pemium phone number and have checked my bill and cost £15 so beware . they never contacted me to let me know it was not going to be delivered and i sent an email which they never responded to even after the 5 days waiting .. i have never used this company before and will never again , if i had to guess they where taking orders without stock available . they asked me to drop my claim with paypal before they will refund me so i phoned paypal and they said you should never do that as you cannot put another claim in if they refuse to give back your money .... POOR SERVICE , BAD COMPANY

Sent my laptop off to Laptops Direct after they provided a good quote of what they would be likely to buy it for. It was sent over 50 days ago and I have not heard anything from them. I contacted them by phone three times and their customer service confirmed that it arrived even though the Collect Plus tracking (we used theil label they provided according to their instructions) state that it hasn't arrived. The customer service over the phone say they don't know much about the trade-in part of the business and are unable to help. We also send 3 emails and it took a couple of weeks for them to reply. The reply - 52 days after the item arrived - simply said "Sorry I tracked your item and it hasn't arrived, we would suggest you contacting the courier". If the item hasn't arrived and is lost, they should tell me that they will submit a claim and assure me a reimbursement is on its way, as it was sent using their Collect Plus label that they instructed me to use! Absolutely awful (non-existant) customer service. Would stay away from this business if I had another chance!

This review is only based on the trade-in service with laptopsdirect. I had a horrible horrible experience with this company (and horrible twice is not a typo). I will never deal with them again and I recommend to stay away from them. I decided to trade-in my old laptop so that I can buy a new one. All details asked on the website including CPU, RAM, Graphics card, serial number etc. were provided and I was given a valuation of £204. When I posted the laptop they reduced the valuation to £69 citing a few scuffs and they don’t like the processor. I decided not to buy a new laptop and asked for my old laptop to be returned. My laptop was returned after a month and that too after several phone calls and emails. When I received the laptop it was without the charger I had sent and it had stopped working (I wonder if they removed some parts). The fan enclosure was damaged too. The only response I received was that they will investigate what happened. The fools at laptopsdirect left me without a laptop for a long time which affected my work significantly but no compensation was offered. They advertise that they will pay the full quotation value if the laptop is damaged while it is with them but not a single penny was offered. I strongly recommend to stay away from such a rubbish business.... I am sure they will pay the loss they have caused me one way or another.

Terrible experience. Would definitely not recommend. Various issues: item said it was in-stock and offered faster delivery for extra charge, as soon as payment was taken the tracking changed to out of stock. I then tried to phone customer services (which is a mission in its self) they advised don't worry it will still arrive on time. The very next morning they changed the delivery date by 5 days, no offer to refund the price of express delivery. I therefore decided to cancel, which they advised you can do through the website but you can only email (with a response time if 5days, which doesn't happen) Turns out the item was not even coming from them so they had to speak to another company to cancel. No email confirmation of canceling. Phoned again a few days later, and repeatedly got cut off by automated phone system as they don't want you to ring. Ofcourse it uses the excuse of Covid which multiple companies are taking advantage of. They also had a funny excuse of "due to the hot weather this week, we are busier than normal" they sell electronics ?????. Finally managed to get through and they had canceled with the supplier but had not authorised my refund. Had to repeatedly ask for my money before finally getting it back. Based on my experience and the latest reviews I would guess this company is starting to sink and will leave a lot of people out of pocket.

Laptops Direct are, without doubt, the worst company I have ever had to deal with. They took nearly £500 for an order of a Laptop that was supposed to be delivered two days after purchase. I paid for express delivery. The laptop wasn't delivered a week later. I was leaving the country so phoned them, emailed them and messaged them on facebook to cancel the order. I was ignored, hung up on and not called back as i desperately tried to cancel the order. I assumed they would have acted on my over 20 attempts to cancel the order whilst phoning them on their PREMIUM phone number. A laptop was found in a bush outside my house by a friend 3 days after my family and I had left the country. The delivery note said that the laptop had been signed for. It hadn't. IT HAD BEEN LEFT IN A BUSH. I am yet to receive any notification of my complaint from the company, apart from a response to my negative review on Trust Pilot. Please do not use Laptops Direct, they are incompetent and uncommunicative unless you post a negative review about them. I have complained to BBC Watchdog, Paypal and am now going to speak to an Ombudsman about their dishonest business practices.

This is worst company I've ever dealt with. I ordered Nintendo as present for my daughter and paid extra £9.99 to have it delivered on the following day. The delivery date was 18th of July. Today is 25th of August and they are attempting delivery although I asked them to cancel order on the 19th of July. I can't do business with company who in my view is terrible. My child cried with disappointment for days. I asked LD to cancel order as they clearly sold me product they don't have in stock. Their response was that the order was made so best thing I can do if to refuse to collect the order. All this time they have kept my money. Also I ordered wrong cover by mistake and asked how to sent it back. They ignored my request and I was unable to return the cover.

What a horrible experience with this company. Placed my order paid including £4.99 extra for delivery on 22nd July following day received an email delivery will be later. Finally got delivery literally 2 weeks late. I followed the instructions to start the laptop entered date and time but have no idea what i must enter next. The laptop arrived with no detailed getting started instructions. I emailed to ask for help and they replied telling me I must get in contact with Lenovo myself. Is this the standard of their after sales service???? Also if you phone they give you the option for a call back which will happen the same day by 6 pm did that twice still waiting for the call. In closing the 1 star rating I gave was purely so that could write a review as far as i am concerned they deserve minus 5 stars

Dead pixel smack bang in middle of monitor. Box came completely bashed in upon deliver. They won’t take back at their own cost as they don’t see less than 5 dead pixels as a fault. Illogical as clearly any dead pixel is clearly not a design intention. Then they offered £20 or else I can pay for own return. Chose the latter but then they say can’t return if the monitor has been used - which is stupid as I obviously had to use it to find the dead pixel. They takes days to respond. Told them about consumer act multiple times but they choose to ignore the law. Avoid

I ordered a monitor and paid for next day delivery. It arrived nearly a week later. Their system had transposed my address wrongly form amazon pay and I spent nearly a day trying to get hold of them to sort this out. To add insult to injury the same monitor appears on amazon just afterwards (supplied by them) for less money with amazon prime next day delivery. You honestly could not make this up. Terrible service.

Absolutely Terrible Company, They do not order the item until you purchase cause the delivery times to be over a month in most cases, do not be fooled by good reviews Im sure they've bought them so they can post them all over their site! I ordered next day delivery on an Item that was said to be in stock when I purchased, then turned out that I had to wait 2 weeks to get it becasue the item was not in stock when purchased, and then another 2 weeks after that! I still havent received my item. On the page where I bought It, low and behold it still says in stock!

Selling items not in stock Firstly, I would suggest the scenario below is nothing to do with COVID, and all to do with arrogance for the customer. I Ordered a monitor on next day service (£9.98) at 3pm on Thursday 2nd July. At 21:00 on the 2nd I received an email to say warehouse has an issue and that I would be told by 3pm on Friday 3rd July (after their CS closes conveniently, and they don't work weekends!?) what day to expect delivery, and that it won't be delivered Friday. Friday 3rd had an email at 07:20 to say "despatched from one of their warehouses" but when clicking the track button it says "despatched from one of our suppliers - no tracking available" So - looks like I will have no monitor over the weekend for an urgent work project, but who knows - it may turn up. 1/ They have clearly sold something as available when it was not 2/ They have sold me next day delivery, when they knew that it wasn't going to happen 3/They have failed, as they said they would, to give me a delivery date by 3pm on Friday 3rd July 4/ Their Customer service shuts at 2pm on a Friday and does not open weekends 5/ They have not replied to any e-messages. First one sent at 21:22 on Thursday 2nd July. 6/ They mark orders as 'accepted' when dispatched, so I can't cancel on-line and I can't talk to anyone to cancel (so that I can buy elsewhere and get delivered Saturday) as CS shuts at 2 pm - I mean what's all that about! This means, like so many others on Trust Pilot, that I'm in limbo land with this company. I fully expect to see no monitor on Saturday, but I just have to 'wait and see' On Monday I will be cancelling the order (if CS answer the phone), but then it will mean I don't get the monitor from another company until Tuesday. Shocking Customer Service, and selling stock as next day when they clearly don't have it available for tomorrow is misleading at best. nb. just this second has a text from parcelforce express 24 to say a parcel will be delivered on Monday - I have no idea if this is from Laptops Direct or not. Having just looked at their terms it says to return the item will be at my own expense. If it is the monitor, I'm so tempted to refuse delivery, and just wait another day for someone to deliver that deserves customers. Laptops Direct certainly do not deserve customers!!!

One of the worst companies I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Sold me a laptop on finance and then waited til the day it was supposed to arrive to tell me that the no longer stock it. They allowed me to go through the whole rigmarole of applying for and setting up finance for a laptop they didn't even stock. They did offer to try and sort me out another laptop but ignored all requests to send me the specs instead asking me to call them. I am not particularly computer literate and I had asked someone to look at the laptop I was buying to make sure it was halfway decent so I'm pretty convinced that this was a clumsy attempt to use my ignorance against me and attempt to strong arm me into accepting a worse laptop. I ordered the laptop on the 16.06.20 and paid an extra £15 for three day delivery. Exactly three days later on the 19th I was emailed and told that they didn't stock it. I asked for the information on the alternate laptops they were offering that day but they didn't reply until the following Monday on the 22nd telling me that someone would call despite that fact that I had made it clear that I would only conduct any buisness with them via email. Over the next week I emailed several times and got one token response asking me to call them. Now this morning I get a voicemail saying that based upon my emails I wanted to cancel and that they needed me to call them to sort out cancelling the finance. Up until that point I had not once asked to cancel and had in fact repeatedly asked for the prices and specs of the alternative laptops they were supposedly offering. So yeah. If you fancy wasting your time researching laptops, applying for finance, waiting for it to arrive and then getting jerked around by some of the most appalling customer service I myself have ever had the misfortune of dealing with then by all means "buy" a laptop from these charlatans. You won't actually receive it but maybe this is how you have fun.

Purchased from their site and paid for the item in full, paying extra for next day delivery. Received email stating that the item had been despatched. This was not possible since they did not have the item in stock. The cover for the item I had ordered arrived but not the item itself. Customer services will get back within 24 hours but they can do little because they do not have it in stock. Yet they still charged for fast delivery and have retained my money. I requested a refund credited to my account - this cannot happen for up to 14 days. The reason I paid for next day delivery was because I needed the item. I am now stuck because I loose money if I go to another supplier who does have it in stock. The customer services/complaints line is so busy they are not accepting any further calls - shame they refused to accept my money. If you can't collect the item then leave them well alone and go somewhere more truthful.

Unable to set up laptop due to being asked to login with a learn direct account. Sent an e massage had no reply. Phoned and received a call back but was transferred to a Hewlett Packard customer service centre. They informed me the issue is with Laptops Direct as they have removed the LEARN DIRECT log in requirements. At this moment have a laptop that can’t be used as it is not allowing the user to set up laptop. Frustrating as previously bought a laptop and setting up was straight forward. Not this time!!!

Ordered a laptop and arranged to pay through finance. Paid extra for next day delivery and here the nightmare starts. Item delivered after 5 days, item delivered was same model but very inferior specs than ordered. Item ordered was 9750H and item delivered 8750H. • The actual item ordered had 2.6 GHz processor and the item delivered had 2.2 GHz processor. • The item ordered had 16GB DDR4 SODIMM and the item delivered had 8GB RAM. • The item ordered had 512GB SSD drive and item delivered had 120GB SSD drive. • The item ordered had GTX 1660 graphics card and item delivered had GTX 1060 card. Clearly specification ordered and received are no way near the match and I was just offered a refund of £20 or £30 whereas the specifications ordered and received could be difference of over £480 credit . Please note I also installed my Office 365 license on it before I noticed the various issues and this means I cant use that license key anymore and lost £56. I tried calling customer services many times and was on hold for long and then I left with an option to receive a call back but so far I have not received that call. The customer service I have received was very poor and now I am told that the item will be collected and not any confirmation given in terms of refund. Collection of item was very quick and it took over 18 days to get my deposit back. I will keep away for this company and buy from a reputable seller

I ordered a monitor on 4/4/20, and I am still yet to recieve it. After numerous emails saying that they are waiting on suppliers to get in contact with them, they keep pushing the delivery date back. When I ordered the monitor it was listed on the website as 1 available. I now have a pc which cant be used until I recieve a monitor. Would not recommend to anyone.

Currently refusing to help me despite sending me a product which is not fit for purpose, not of satisfactory quality and had not lasted a reasonable amount of time. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, it is their obligation to resolve this issue yet they keep trying to deflect me to the manufacturer. I have supplied them with plenty of evidence and tried to work with them on this but even after having my case escalated, they are trying to avoid their legal duty. I haven't had a faulty product in the past so whilst their delivery and prices seemed okay at the time, they are certainly not a company I would recommend. I would urge everyone looking at the reviews to look for cases where there have been problems and I know I have been guilty in the past of leaving a positive review for a company based purely on delivery times and not on how they handled complaint and returns.
