“I REALLY wish I could give five stars but due to delay in product delivery, I cannot. I originally ordered the Medium Roasted Hatch Green Chile - (Joe Parker). But after two and a half weeks passed and I still had not received my chile, I decided to call The Hatch Chile Store. I was informed that they were sold out but that I could replace it with what they did have. So, I decided to instead have 5lbs of the Mild Roasted Hatch Green Chile (chopped) shipped to me. I can honestly say I am extremely satisfied with this product. It's extremely flavorful and the perfect heat level! Will definitely order again!”

“These arrived rather quickly. I'm just a little disappointed that I had to throw away quite a few chiles since they were smashed and discolored. Other than that, the flavor of these was great! They are not very hot, I would recommend getting the extra hot chiles if you enjoy the heat!”

“Your web page could be a little more clear, when it comes to ordering. I found it a bit confusing and ordered the big Jim's( Roasted and frozen) by accident. I am very happy with the chili itself. My sandias are wonderful.thank you.”

“The Chile was received in good condition. The Sandia was nice and beefy and has a good heat. The Lumbre is just what I love...HOT. My only gripe is that much of the peppers were red.”

“I received 10 pounds of NM Big Jim very quickly after I ordered. It looked and smelled great!! There was a lot more red than what I was expecting, otherwise, I would give you a Very Good. But the price, service and shipping was great!!”

“Love you Hatch chilies, but somehow I ordered what I thought were roasted chilies and received frozen unfrosted chilies. Will have to find a way to roast them so their real flavor comes out.”

“I ordered the chile in mid July with an agreed upon ship date of Tuesday August 8th. On Friday August 11th the chile was still not delivered. I called and was told that somehow my order didn't get shipped. Normally this would not be a problem. However, the recipient of the chile is only in town 2 weeks a month so delivery couldn't be just anytime. It turned out that we found another later date that would work and did receive the shipment on that date. The chile received was very high quality and the recipient was very satisfied and happy with it. I think this was just a glitch in the system and I will order chile again because of the very nice quality.”

“I ordered 25 lbs of Sandia, really nice chilies, hot just like we like. I roasted that evening. I used 2 day delivery and lost about 15- 20 chilies, most likely from the heat, we live in Houston proper and we are a family of first -responders, this Sunday we are all finally going to get together after Hurricane Harvey and enjoy fresh Chile Rellenos. Do Not Mess with Texas Thank You The Chile Store for another great delivery.”

“Delivery was a promised. Weights were correct. Product was on the edge of viability when delivered. After 2 days in the walk-in I had some product loss due to rot. The Big Jim varietal seems to have a thinner wall than I was expecting. After roasting I got 16lb from a 50lb batch. Don't know if that's normal.”

Steven, Big Jim is an heirloom variety and not one we recommend for food processors. I would definitely recommend that you order our Mild or Hot in the future, and that you opt for the recommended 2-Day shipping, as outlined in our shipping policies found here: https://www.hatch-green-chile.com/shipping-guarantee/ Had you spoken with us on the phone, we would have happily shared this with you. We also offer wholesale rates for larger quantities which handily beat our retail pricing (mostly due to economies of scale in shipping)

“Happiness is CHILE and nooo better than your. I thank you, my mother thanks you and my father and friends thank you. Only one thing, please advise phone people that chile can only be shipped when PICKED and not just cuz you ordered it. We will all wait happily in anticipation of remarkable flavor and fun. I love roasting them on front porch and the entire neighborhood smells wonderful, I close my eyes and I'm back home in Santa Fe. Up here in Viking country, chile is given for X-Mass gifts cuz these folk have NEVER tasted anything like it. Keep growing your golden crops.In great thanks Pamela”

“Chile took a while to arrive and there were soft wet rotten chiles in the batch . Half were red -perhaps because it's late in the season? Once washed and sorted they roasted nicely . Big Jims are tasty and hot .”
