DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY We ordered a cooker from Appliance Direct and because of an elderly family member being very ill with dementia and then cancer which sadly resulted in his death, we did not install our kitchen and the cooker remained in full package and unopened in the dining room. When our electrician finally attempted to install the cooker, he was unable to, as he remarked that the cooker had been dented from the back. He also said the whole chassis had been moved out of place, resulting in 2cm gap between front and back of the cooker, and because of this, the knobs on the cooker could not turn. I then contacted by Appliance Direct and sent pictures and they agreed to refund us £90 or £100 off the cost of a new cooker. Even though this was a substantial loss, we agreed as we did appreciate that it was 11 months since we had received the cooker. A week later Appliance Direct texted me and advised that they would not be able to refund the £90.00 as previously advised. When I queried why, they did not reply. We are now stuck with a cooker that is unusable through no fault of our own. I have now seen other reviews with damaged products received. I would not recommend this company as they not trustworthy. We have contacted the manufacture who sent an engineer and has also agreed that the cooker must have been damaged in transit.

Worst company I have purchased from ever. Tried to sort out a dehumidifier that was delivered the same day. Wouldn't even talk about the faults!!!!! said to go direct to the manufacturer. Tried again an hour or so later. Tried to explain what was wrong and just got cut off. Do not touch then at your own peril. Each time I rang I was told the wait time to speak to a complaints/fault operator would be over 30 minutes. That says it all.

The company does not care about the customer at all. I have not receive a notification call before the delivery. The driver called me once he left my place and refused to wait 5 min for my arrival. Moreover, the re-delivery was rescheduled 6 days later. The customer service is absolutely rubbish and they are not there to help you out. Contacting them with any inquiry is simply useless exercise and waste of your time. They are happy to take your money though... Stay away from this incompetent business and shop elsewhere.

Purchased a new integrated oven with fitting and disposal of the old to be delivered and installed before XMAS. Company constantly lied and we have no new oven for XMAS. Avoid this company who lies and make sure you pay on credit card to get your money back.

A shambolic company. Further to my earlier review I have now received a refund from AD but this EXCLUDES the delivery charge of £9.99. I have also received my latest telephone bill which includes 6 calls to their customer services at a total cost of £17.36. In summary it is not worth dealing with this company.. I have now ordered a replacement Hotpoint tumble dryer from Argos - this has now arrived direct from the factory and do you know it works !!

Ordered a new Hotpoint washing machine and paid for Saturday delivery. Was told I would receive a two hour slot the night before. No notification. No reply on help and advice line. Eventually contact delivery people who give a time slot then phone to say they're arriving early and then don't. Try to install the machine and discover the drainage hose is fixed to the right rear of the machine so can't be fitted to a drain pipe more that 30cm from the left of the machine. Strangely it would be fine if you want to attach it to a drainpipe more than a metre to the right of the machine. Try help and advice line, which has recorded message saying use website for feedback. Send message on website asking for help and receive automated reply saying they try to reply the same day but will definitely reply within 48 hours. They don't. Eventually reply 3 days after I contacted them to say it is a warranty issue and to contact the manufacturer. I contact the manufacturer and they say it is not a warranty issue. Tell Appliance Direct this in an email and eventually (another 3 days later) get a reply saying yes it is the manufacturer's responsibility. No idea what to do now. I have had a couple of deliveries from them before that were fine, but really not worth taking the risk that it is not straight forward because their helpline is never answered and their email replies make no sense when you eventually get them.

Ordered fridge for next day delivery if ordered within 2hrs 34mins, ordered, Saturday delivery premium paid for - not delivered to our tenant, no notice received until nighttime, when no customer service team available. Contacted Monday, tenant said they arrived to take old fridge but no new one to deliver, they have a young child so refused for old fridge to be taken away, Appliance Direct agreed to deliver next Saturday, but delivery contact with me not tenant as agreed with them by telephone, Saturday fridge arrives but courier refused to take old fridge that they had defrosted 24 hours earlier, I am now still trying to contact Appliances Direct to resolve collection of old fridge. What can I say? Simply my worst purchasing experience of my lifetime-58year old, purchased and will continue to purchase many things in my life but surely in today’s world it has to be more efficient and easy than this... The main problem with Appliances Direct is that they appear to have outsourced their customer service and delivery processes which you cannot contact easily outside of the 9:00 to 17:00 time frame which is when the delivery arrangements are made. You cannot respond to their delivery notifications which are sent outside of office hours. Many attempts to make contact are not answered or disconnected. Disappointed in this company and their response.

If you value your sanity do not deal with this company. 0nce they have your money they don't care. Bought a tumble dryer which didn't work from day one. Immediately requested a replacement but all they did was refer me to the manufacturer even though my contract is with them ! In utter frustration including waiting half an hour on the telephone for their customer services without an answer called out the manufacturers engineer whose opinion was that it was a non manufacturing fault (damage to case and drum seized). Luckily collection had been arranged for the next day but no time slot was provided. The machine is now back with AD. I have requested a full refund - We'll see how long that takes !!!

Supposed to get a txt giving me an hour's time slot, never got one and had to wait in ALL day after several phone calls. Had to stop first wash because of a leak. They came the next day with a new working machine. After speaking with them and explaining I need a delivery next week with a time slot as I'm not waiting around all day again was told no problem. Next weeks delivery came and yet again no time slot had to wait in again, but not as long. Also tried charging for delivery to pick the old machine up when they were bringing the new one!!! It's been an absolute nightmare and wouldn't recommend to anyone.

if i could leave a 0 star review i would. left my mum who has dementia without a fridge freezer for days. sent delivery reciept with a squiggle saying they had delivered but they hadnt. They then expect to hold onto my money while they do a full investigation, i am without a fridge freezer and my money. first and last time i will be using this scam company

Indesit washing machine leaking from dispenser hose. Small leak first week not noticed. After 2 weeks booked engineer, came, "repaired", worse! Awaiting 2nd visit.

I bought a microwave from this company and after a month it started malfunctioning and switching itself on when it was supposed to be off. I asked the company for a refund which I'm entitled to and all they do is redirect me to the manufacturer. Terrible customer service! Never buy anything from them as if the item is faulty they take no responsibility!

One of the worse service ever had it, ordered appliances worth £1000 still not free delivery plus top of that no delivery on time, every time delivery get cancelled without any reason, had to called 3-4 times to check where is the delivery Wouldn’t use them again as well wouldn’t recommend to anyone

When I placed my order, very helpful. Told it would be available to collect from store on Tuesday after 3pm. I rang on Tuesday pm to confirm it was ready to collect, no it wasn’t, told it would be the next day. I was placed on hold during that call for quite a while. Since then I received my phone bill. To order it, then to chase up collection date has cost me £11 plus! Never again.

Waited 2 weeks for a gas hob after many emails sent and blaming the courier, paying for next day delivery they decided to tell us it was lost. Unfortunately running a gas company I also lost a customer telling me “I’m a gas man who cannot source a white gas hob” thanks appliance direct.

Shocking company took my money kept me waiting 5 weeks cancelled the delivery the night before with an email my partner taken a days holiday The customer service department is atrocious They don’t answer the phone. They don’t respond to emails I would never use this company again

On Monday 12 November I ordered a washing machine from Appliances Direct to be delivered to a property next day. There is a minimum £15 delivery charge and a £25 charge for next day delivery but this only appears on the website at the checkout, which is underhand. However the cost of the machine was reasonable and someone was able to be at the delivery address the next day so I went ahead. In addition I paid £40 for disconnection of the old machine and its removal, plus set up of the new machine. All these extras (totalling £65) came through as clearly ordered and paid for on my invoice. However when the machine was delivered, the couriers said there was 'no record in their system' of the payment for connection of the new machine, or removal of the old one, and refused to do either. When trying to sort this out, I had to hang on the phone for 25 minutes before getting an answer, and then I was told they couldn't come back to fit the machine - even though it was only 11am so there was plenty of time left in the day - but we would be better off organising local fitting and removal. I consider it poor not to have records of what has been ordered, but REALLY poor not to make good the situation where the seller has admitted responsibility. For such a big organisation not to be able to offer a better solution is unprofessional. The result is we will have to take another day off work AND organise the work for a second time. To add insult to injury, I was promised a refund of £65, and have only been given £55. I am unimpressed.

Delivered a fridge freezer that was constantly beeping in July, called and was told I cannot return the unit, I have to have an engineer call. That was finally arranged after constantly chasing and the engineer said it faulty and we should have a replacement/refund asap. We are not in November and the deliverydate has constantly been changed so have asked for the item to be returned as we have a high pitched squeal as well! In between this I have sent over 30 emails that are never answered and when you call you get charged per minute. DO NOT SHOP with this company.

I ordered and paid for on oven to be delivered on Saturday 02/11/19. I received an email and phone call confirming delivery would be Saturday. 7am Saturday morning I received a text advising it would not be delivered until Monday which was completely unacceptable. I then spent 30 minutes trying to contact you to cancel at supposedly 0.13 a minute however this cost me over £20.00 as they really charge £0.58 a minute. Then when I was refunded they didn’t refund the delivery charges, another phone call to sort out. Although the people I spoke to were really nice this is appalling service and you need to be honest about the phone charges.

I purchased a gas hob from appliance direct online on the 1/11/19 item wasn’t in stock I placed order so I could collect from Huddersfield store guessing it will be there Next day Saturday like every where else I shop. Saturday came I received an email that my order Is in progress Saturday afternoon I get an email I can collect my order on Tuesday the 5/11/19 I was a little confused at this point why so long of a wait Bare in mind I paid £2.50 to collect from store. Come to Tuesday I received a nother email stating once my order is ready I will receive an email that I can pick up my item. I waited all morning no email rang customer service at 11:30am they said yes you could go Huddersfield store and collect anytime after 15:00 I traveled 4 miles to store where some one is telling me to wait another couple of hours or go to Elland store one is there I said why should I travel to eland now whilst I paid to collect from here last Friday he was so arrogant and replied we’ll just wait for a few hours then. the time was 16:00 now I was angry and said this is a joke refund me this is too much so I’m back on the phone to customer services and again they are telling me to go back to the store my order is ready to collect at Huddersfield so I go back when I get there One of the staff apologised and said your item is ready to collect and went to the back of the store to get my order only just to come back 10 minutes later to tell me my item is not at the store I don’t know why we don’t have it I was so angry and disappointed it was unreal I have never had anything like this before it was just mad now I’m waiting for my refund
