On Monday 12 November I ordered a washing machine from Appliances Direct to be delivered to a property next day. There is a minimum £15 delivery charge and a £25 charge for next day delivery but this only appears on the website at the checkout, which is underhand. However the cost of the machine was reasonable and someone was able to be at the delivery address the next day so I went ahead. In addition I paid £40 for disconnection of the old machine and its removal, plus set up of the new machine. All these extras (totalling £65) came through as clearly ordered and paid for on my invoice. However when the machine was delivered, the couriers said there was 'no record in their system' of the payment for connection of the new machine, or removal of the old one, and refused to do either. When trying to sort this out, I had to hang on the phone for 25 minutes before getting an answer, and then I was told they couldn't come back to fit the machine - even though it was only 11am so there was plenty of time left in the day - but we would be better off organising local fitting and removal. I consider it poor not to have records of what has been ordered, but REALLY poor not to make good the situation where the seller has admitted responsibility. For such a big organisation not to be able to offer a better solution is unprofessional. The result is we will have to take another day off work AND organise the work for a second time. To add insult to injury, I was promised a refund of £65, and have only been given £55. I am unimpressed.

Delivered a fridge freezer that was constantly beeping in July, called and was told I cannot return the unit, I have to have an engineer call. That was finally arranged after constantly chasing and the engineer said it faulty and we should have a replacement/refund asap. We are not in November and the deliverydate has constantly been changed so have asked for the item to be returned as we have a high pitched squeal as well! In between this I have sent over 30 emails that are never answered and when you call you get charged per minute. DO NOT SHOP with this company.

I ordered and paid for on oven to be delivered on Saturday 02/11/19. I received an email and phone call confirming delivery would be Saturday. 7am Saturday morning I received a text advising it would not be delivered until Monday which was completely unacceptable. I then spent 30 minutes trying to contact you to cancel at supposedly 0.13 a minute however this cost me over £20.00 as they really charge £0.58 a minute. Then when I was refunded they didn’t refund the delivery charges, another phone call to sort out. Although the people I spoke to were really nice this is appalling service and you need to be honest about the phone charges.

I purchased a gas hob from appliance direct online on the 1/11/19 item wasn’t in stock I placed order so I could collect from Huddersfield store guessing it will be there Next day Saturday like every where else I shop. Saturday came I received an email that my order Is in progress Saturday afternoon I get an email I can collect my order on Tuesday the 5/11/19 I was a little confused at this point why so long of a wait Bare in mind I paid £2.50 to collect from store. Come to Tuesday I received a nother email stating once my order is ready I will receive an email that I can pick up my item. I waited all morning no email rang customer service at 11:30am they said yes you could go Huddersfield store and collect anytime after 15:00 I traveled 4 miles to store where some one is telling me to wait another couple of hours or go to Elland store one is there I said why should I travel to eland now whilst I paid to collect from here last Friday he was so arrogant and replied we’ll just wait for a few hours then. the time was 16:00 now I was angry and said this is a joke refund me this is too much so I’m back on the phone to customer services and again they are telling me to go back to the store my order is ready to collect at Huddersfield so I go back when I get there One of the staff apologised and said your item is ready to collect and went to the back of the store to get my order only just to come back 10 minutes later to tell me my item is not at the store I don’t know why we don’t have it I was so angry and disappointed it was unreal I have never had anything like this before it was just mad now I’m waiting for my refund

Cooker ordered and turned up when stated, however when workman attempted to fit it there was no gas hose. How to use this product without it. Contacted appliance direct who stated they do not supply with their cookers. If I had known I would not have purchased.

This is the third order I have placed with this company and will most definitely be the last. The cheaper prices are not worth the problems. I ordered a fridge freezer paid for a Saturday delivery and the item did not turn up. I had of course emptied out my previous one which caused lots of food being thrown away. Customer service as with every other order was terrible. I cancelled and got a full refund although I spent £30 on calls chasing the delivery which I have now lost. Ordered the same model from AO.com and I received my new appliance with out any problems!

Customer service is awful. Pretty sure they breach the consumer rights act for selling faulty, dangerous goods and make the returns process as difficult as possible to return

if you find yourself in need of a repair or replacement under the standard manufacturer's 12 month warranty you could be messed around no end being constantly made promises of calls back and parts being sent out but with no substance but you will end up with a massive phone bill from holding on the phone to their premium rate number for up to 45 minutes at a time in my experience only to be messed around again and told another pack of lies about when your replacement part will be sent out. you will also waste days waiting in for a promised delivery that never arrives. All together disgusting customer service and no better off 2 weeks after the initial promise of a replacement part.

Late on delivery date. Return made impossible. No help or support given for return of my purchase . I’m left with an unwanted tv cupboard now. I’d never order from this company again.

I would have put zero stars if it allowed me. Avoid at all cost. Oredered a cooker and a fridge totaling nearly £3000. They charged my credit card jut to let me know next day that it is agaist company policy to accept my spanich credit card to deliver to an UK address????? All I need is to have it delivered it to a shipping company to ship them over to me in Spain. After cancelling the order, they are still holding my three grand with an excuse of- it takes around 3 working days to process. Well they could see my details when I paid for it, but still took my money. I'm stuck now as I can't buy the apliances elsewhere because they are holding my money. Their costumer service is a joke, I'm ordering from John Lewis as soon as I get my money back, little bit more money to pay for the same cooker, no delivery charge or 1% credit card surcharge which makes the cooker actually cheaper at the end by about 40 quid and JL customer service to me now, after dealin with Apliances Direct, seems like a different universe. Very helpfull, polite and looking after their costumers.

I have had my order cancelled by Appliances direct because I refused to give personal details about me and my family to them which is no business of appliances direct. This was a few days after I placed an order and after the payment had been made by my credit card company. They told me it would be 3 days before i get a credit. I should be credited immediately. All sound very suspicious beware!!!

Delivery date was changed 4 times! Went to collect from Huddersfield store which was under staffed had to wait 10 minutes before being served and listening to other customers saying they will never use Appliances Direct again due to such poor customer service

awful experience. Do not go by their claims on their website for available collection dates. Travelled 2 hours to collect the item for them to tell us it is not ready for collection. Annoying as that was, a delivery date was then arranged which was not met, and automatically changed delivery date without consulting us. Rang to enquire what was going on - no answer waited 20 minutes!!! Thinking saving money purchasing from the company when in fact just waisted time, money commuting, plumber cancellation fees, and days holiday!!!

Ordered a washing machine and dish washer, both arrived faulty.. Washing machine had been previously used and was full of water, which leaked through 4 rooms to get to the kitchen... Been phoning for over a week and constantly on hold, very poor service!

Everything went wrong, they us e a courier in DX Delivery North East that in my opinion is cheap and tacky, delivered my item in a beer garden as my door is in one. It says on website "Dont worry we will leave it in a safe place" . Left on a wall by my door 1.5 metres from a sitting area for social club and 5 metres away from side entrance for smokers. DX never phoned me or nothing for days. Appliance Direct a product that only works to 90pc and sent me an email as "refund as agreed" they never called or emailed me to agree a £10 refund..its a £60 phone so no big deal can you imagine paying £300-£2k and not working, I dont want to go through an experience like this again with Appliances/DX so left it. There is some bad reviews on Trustpilot as well. My advice they offer great prices but if faulty, not working and can get lost through courier....roll the dice at your own risk

Why Dont you answer your phones, been hanging on now for 1.5 hours and 1 hour on the other phone to another one of your numbers. I RETURNED a freezer you sent out damaged with dents costing £450.92. You have had this back now since last week. I had to open Paypal Dispute as goods arrived damaged but now you say you wont refund my money into my account unless I close the paypal dispute, so I had no other option but to escalate as I am NOT letting you Blackmail me and hold me to ransom, because if I close the case I cant re open it and you have my money and the freezer. I am not stupid. I hope this affects your sales. Your delivery Company RIP Couriers are useless. Wanted to charge me for unwrapping which I chose not to add so then they unwrap in in the street, carry on a barrow and the drag it in my house ripping my linoleum flooring and gouging out my oak door step. I would like my refund and the cost of the repairs as agreed. PLEASE TAKE HEED AND DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY.

So, I wrote an honest and true review here about Appliances Direct and it was reported. Trustpilot asked me for proof and I've sent them the proof of purchase. Obviously Appliances Direct are trying to hide something. Well more news today and my experience with the £4.49 a month warranty from Appliances Direct. Another shamble. Firstly they refused to cover my cooker, admitting its faulty whereas they wouldn't admit previously. Secondly did cover my cooker but didn't take consent to take DD from card I paid cooker with. So today morning I call the warranty guys to change card details for DD. It took an hour on the phone and still not sorted so just gave up. Long long waiting times. Stupid music. Then told they don't have details of my cover and I didn't pay. I can see the money come out my credit card on my mobile phone, thanks to the apps nowadays. Then swapped about as usual and eventually I gave up. Kept being put on hold. Hmmm..,..i wonder what happens when one needs to make a claim. So ive decided to cancel with Appliances Direct and take out Hotpoints warranty. Also im thinking of just selling my cooker altogether and be freed from Appliances Directs nightmares. I find this the best place to express my feelings as Appliances Direct (AP) just cant resolve anything. Such an unprofessional company. I am regretting every bit i bought my cooker from this company. If you had a good experience with price, delivery etc. dont be excited as when anything goes wrong, youll be in big trouble. I will always buy from Currys. Never ever again any other company. My experience with Currys is absolutely brilliant. I spoke to a chap called Josh in the warranty team who said he couldnt hear me. Then i told him i cant hear him because i could hear so much noise from his background. He rudely said , i cant help you then. Well i reminded him that this call was being recorded and also took his name. Then he fixed something and i could only hear him. Then he messed me around like im a fool. How unprofessional impolite people. AP will now reply, please call and we will try to help....which they cant. Because the company is lost.

Shocking customer service, 1 washer blew up, replacement ordered gave wrong delivery day so wasted day off, delivery day after brought broken machine, 3rd delivery wasting yet more of my time and birthday plans cancelled as no delivery time slot, poor company, rubbish customer service emails as they never answer the question, like robots Just press button for another delivery. Today on 3rd delivery they told the delivery company to remove a machine that didn't exist. Genuinely the worst company I have dealt with

I wish I could give minus - ordered a washing machine 2 weeks ago still not received it - emailed 23 times - they just send nonsense emails back - do not bother trying to phone 40 mins and still no answer. I am still not sure when I might get my washing machine - not the tumble dryer they did send is broke so I have sent them an email about this DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY

Since our Brand New Hotpoint HU61 was delivered and installed by a professional gas engineer, we are experiencing problems. The burners take time to come on and the gas blows out. Simply the cooker isn't functioning the way a cooker should function. Its a complete nightmare! Have been in touch with Appliances Direct and Hotpoint. Raised a complaint to high level. Engineer came out once and done quick fix and problem started as soon as he left. Another engineer coming out again but taking weeks. The only reply and dispute I receive from both Appliances Direct&Hotpoint, is that they cannot find a fault. Is that why the burners don't come on and if they do come, blow out instantly. Complete misery and a complete nuisance. This cooker is in a stainless steel finish and the top part is showing signs of wear already like dark brown burnt marks despite my wife covering with foil. The burners and all parts are cheap and nasty. Not the old robust cooker. Cheap China product. My very honest opinion, DO NOT BUY FROM APPLIANCES DIRECT AS THERE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS ABSOLUTELY APPALLING!!! Being swapping me about for two months. No straight answer. Extremely expensive to call as 0871 number. A carry on and a game which their staff probably enjoy. So unprofessional indeed! When you call you need to wait an hour, not a surprise. When on hold, you hear some depressing and annoying music to add to your grief.Secondly, DO NOT BUY CHEAP NASTY CHINA MANUFACTURED HOTPOINT PRODUCTS. I paid £440 and still a heap of rubbish.
