Ordered a washer/dryer that was installed upon delivery. We then noticed considerable damage to the side of the machine and a crack across the front of the screen, so we sent photographs the day after delivery to AD in the hope of getting the machine replaced. AD refused to replace the machine, and sent photos that the installers took of the machine, and claimed that the machine was in "pristine condition" yet on the photos they sent us, you can CLEARLY see the crack across the screen. Also the damaged part of the machine is cut off one of the images they sent to us. They are still refusing to do anything about the damage. Will be investigating further with trading standards as this is pretty poor service for a £600 machine! Avoid like the plague. (Photo below is what they sent me, claiming the machine was delivered in "pristine" condition, yet you can see the crack! Between the 3 and the 1400)

Shocking company, waited in 2 whole days with booking dates for delivery. No delivery after 9 days I cancelled my order. They blamed the courier service then Panther the crap courier service would blame appliance direct. Must have spent at least in total 2 hours over the phone trying to find out where my order was. Totally being passed from one to the other. Customer service was really bad. Rude , unhelpful, felt like I was banging my head against a wall. So frustrating the did not give a hoot that I had waited in for no delivery to turn up. Would never recommend this company to anyone. Shocking in this day an age. Let's hope they go bust and don't mess more people about. I will be contacting watch dog regarding my experience. Paul Casey order no 2524784.

Everything. We agreed a delivery date for a delivery of three appliances, with a single delivery charge, that worked for me and gave them 3 days to arrange despite their initial offer of next day. Dispatch was confirmed by email for delivery on the correct date but late on the day before delivery Hotpoint rang to say it would be 3 days later when I would not be available. This was a tall fridge freezer that wouldn't easily fit in my van so this was what I was paying the delivery charge for. After ages on their premium rate customer disservice line I was left with no option but to cancel the FF order, or accept a smaller model from a an inferior brand. But they wouldn't cancel the delivery charge despite the non delivery. After much trying to get to speak to someone of some authority and failing I again had little choice but to cancel the whole order despite needing the appliances. Refund promised but in 5 days so no appliances and all the funds blocked on the card. It's funny that they can take your payment in seconds but refunds take a working week. No it's not funny. And they have no complaints procedure that they are willing to share with dissatisfied customers. Summary. Dreadful service absolutely zero effort to resolve their cock-ups. Heads you're wrong or tails they're not. Advice. Avoid like the plague as there are plenty of other half decent retailers and even if they were £50 cheaper, which they weren't, the saving is poor pay for the grief, hassle, time and premium rate phone calls you will need to make.

Absolutly horendous ordered and paid for delivery of oven debited the money from my account to ring me and say sorry we can't deliver unless you buy new for an extra £250 way over priced for the oven purchased. Not happy poor customer service! The women on the phone couldn't care less!

the worst company I ever bought anything from, you take days off work for deliveries that don't turn up. if something goes wrong they are a nightmare to deal with, even after the manufacturer gave me a replacement authorisation code they are still unhelpful, you send them information which you are then asked you to send a gain. It can take days to get a reply from an email and when they promise to get back to you within 48 hours they don't. If you try and telephone it's a premium rate number and your left on hold for ages clocking up charges. It's strange how negative reviews don't appear on their website but if you look else where there's hundreds of them. Don't be fooled by the reviews on their website and go elsewhere. there are plenty of other companies that charge the same prices and have fantastic customer service and you don't get ripped off when you need to contact them about a problem J Kent

Bought a phone from this company which quickly developed a fault with the microphone. Contacted customer services who have been totally dire and their flat response is a repeat for me to contact the manufacturer direct as they won't replace or repair themselves. Contacted the manufacturer who in turn have referred me back to Appliances Direct for a replacement!!! Have contacted Trading Standards but still stuck with a faulty phone months later. I will never ever deal with this sham of a company again - worst customer service bar none

Dehumidifier arrived on time however it was damaged and faulty. That's when problems started. 2 wasted long phone calls I resorted to their e message portals. 22 messages and hassle later I have finally been refunded minus delivery charge so out of pocket and out of patience. Would not use them again

Selling low-quality products for mass consumption, sending the small print in invisible form and offering an extremely poor customer service with impossible conditions. Their delivery and installment company [hires] people who do not know the features of the product and its parts, do not speak English and the customer is left translating what they need at the time of installment. I want to know who trains the delivery company and how Appliances Direct exists by being such a scam, literally charging customers for impossible situations and relying on their non-customer-oriented terms and conditions. Crooks.

Probably the worst company I have ever dealt with, will certainly never use them again nor will I ever recommend the company to my worst enemy. Ordered an integrated fridge freezer on the Saturday which turned up on the Tuesday (on time) what can only be described as a complete mess! There was not a side on the unit free from scratches and dints. The driver said someone would contact me from their customer services, which didn't happen. The following day I called to ask what was going on and after a pain staking telephone conversation another unit was scheduled to be with us on the Thursday. I then had to take the day off work as the kitchen fitters wouldn't be there to accept the delivery on the Thursday, 3pm came and went and I rang up to find out where it was? Only to find they have sent it to wrong the depo and it would now be with me on the Friday.... (It's ok Appliances Direct I love taking holidays off work for this reason) Anyway in a nut shell it did eventually turn up and wasn't damaged and as a result of my inconvenience the company offered me £20 yes that's right £20!!!! I DECLINED THE OFFER! PLEASE IF YOU HAVE ANY SENSE USE ANOTHER ON LINE COMPANY!!

How are there any good reviews from this company? I've ordered from them twice in 6-months. Both TV's have come badly damaged. Dealing with there customer support is done one message a day through a stupid online portal. I'm having to send no end of pictures and so far it's been 11 days from my initial inquiry to say the TV don't work - and I'm no closer to it being picked up!! And as mentioned this is the second time it's happened. They need to sort something out, learn how to use the phone or just answer messages quickly! I've also had to get my delivery charge returned, TWICE, as they take a lot longer than whenever they say it'll be here. If it's next day, it's next day to there courier, not your front door.

Paid for washing machine - promised delivery within 48 hours - postponed twice until eventually I was told item was no longer available. Tried to get me to buy a lesser quality model for more money - very rude sales agent - now having to wait for my refund to appear back in my bank. Checked the website again and the same machine is now on there costing £150 more and available for next day delivery.

Ordered the product for next day delivery, paid the extra for it, took day off work to ensure I was present, guess what got a text stating unable to deliver it wont be delivered until the Friday, on wednesday evening I get a text from DPD stating delivery would be with me Thursday, unable to take another day off work, so usual instructions left with delivery driver. Get home Friday open the packaging to see bits of plastic fall out, the casing is crack on two sides and the base of the unit is shattered. Spent 4 days trying to upload images to there very problematic returns site, to get a response offering me £50 refund and to keep the unit...hmmmm No i purchased a new unit which i expect to be new and undamaged, unable to return email so have to yet again through there daft emessaging service. We will see what happens next, but unless i get a new unit with the refund of delivery charges in full and some compensation for being dicked around for a week they can have it all back.
